One condition can involve more than one part of the vascular system

Vascular disease can affect arteries, veins and the circulation more broadly. A specialist assessment helps identify the underlying problem and the most appropriate next step.

Consultant-Led Care

Assessment before treatment

Symptoms such as leg pain, swelling, wounds, visible veins or changes in circulation can have several possible causes. Treatment begins with establishing the diagnosis rather than assuming which procedure is required.

Mr Benaragama's practice includes open and endovascular arterial and venous intervention, complex lower-limb revascularisation and specialist vascular assessment.

When to Seek Specialist Advice

Vascular symptoms worth assessing

A vascular consultation may be helpful when symptoms are persistent, progressing, affecting daily life or when a vascular diagnosis has already been identified.

Leg Symptoms

Persistent leg pain, heaviness, swelling, visible veins or walking limitation may benefit from vascular assessment.

Poor Circulation

Non-healing wounds, cold feet, colour changes or symptoms suggesting reduced blood flow require careful assessment.

A Scan Has Found a Problem

Carotid narrowing, an aortic aneurysm or another vascular abnormality found on imaging may warrant specialist review.
