A less invasive procedure is not automatically the best procedure, and open surgery is not required simply because vascular disease is complex. Treatment should be matched to the clinical problem.

Open and endovascular options within one practice
Modern vascular care often offers several potential ways to treat the same disease. A blocked artery may be suitable for angioplasty, bypass surgery, a combined approach or sometimes no intervention at all.
The same principle applies across venous disease, carotid disease, aneurysms and limb salvage. The aim is to select the treatment most appropriate for the individual anatomy, symptoms and expected benefit.

Do I Need Treatment?
Not every vascular condition needs a procedure
Some vascular problems are best managed with surveillance, medication, exercise, risk-factor modification or other conservative treatment.
